This message means that Osmose found corrupted data on your Osmose that couldn't be loaded during startup. A possible reason for this is that a problem occurred while writing a preset to Osmose's memory.
To make the "error during collection init 44" message go away, the following steps will be needed:
- Use OsmoseUpdater’s Advanced Mode* to create a backup of your user data. During this step, any corrupt data, e.g. the remains of a corrupt preset, will be ignored to ensure a clean backup.
- Go to hardware tab of your Osmose and perform a factory reset. All presets and user data will be removed during this step.
- Use OsmoseUpdater’s Advanced Mode to restore the user data to your device.
Under certain circumstances, you will still have the “init 44” error after restoring your backup. The corruption must then lie in your device's global settings data. To correct this,
- Make another factory reset.
- Go to the “preset” folder of your user data and delete the *.eepst file with the name “osmoseSettingsPst_xxxxxxxx” (the x being a string of 8 random characters). It will prevent the corrupted settings from being transferred to your device while restoring user data.
- Restore your user data again.
