To register any product, it is necessary to be logged into an Expressive E account. On the registration page www.expressivee.com/register, you can enter different kinds of codes:

registering a hardware product

To register a hardware product, enter its hardware serial number. This is always a letter followed by a string of 11 numbers:

☝️ Some serial numbers may begin with the capital letter O or I, which can easily be confused with a zero or a 1. We are sorry for leaving room for this ambiguity.

The serial number can be found on a sticker on the underside of the device below a barcode. It is also printed on the shipping and product boxes. If you take the serial from the box, be sure to ignore the "-6" suffix at its end.

Alternatively, for older products, there is a 16-digit activation code in the following format printed in the quick start guide coming with the product:

1234 1234 1234 1234

Entering this code works as well. It will register the actual hardware serial number that the activation code was linked with to your account.

If you bought a demo unit or a second-hand one and you see a message that your product is still registered to another account, please reach out to the former owner. They can unregister the product by clicking the "unregister" (trash bin icon) button in their customer account. You can also reach out to us with a photo of the serial number or proof of purchase to initialize the registration. 

redeeming a software product

If you bought an Expressive E plugin from a reseller or are eligible for a free software license, you should have received an Expressive E redemption code in the following format:

AAA-123-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX

Entering this will add the actual license code(s) to your Expressive E account. The Expressive E redemption code itself is not valid to activate any software license.
