Current situation
ARM versions of plugins are needed in order to make plugins run natively on Apple Silicon processors (M1/M2/M3). Currently, only our synths Noisy 2, Imagine and Touché's companion app Lié are offered as ARM versions.
Arché isn't offered as an ARM version yet, see the roadmap at the end of this article. If you intend to use Arché as plug-ins inside your DAW on an Apple Silicon machine, you must start your DAW using Rosetta. The same goes for Lié as a host application: Arché cannot be hosted inside Lié if you are using the Apple Silicon native version of Lié (ARM version). To allow hosting Arché in Lié on an Apple Silicon machine, you must install the MAC INTEL version of Lié and launch your DAW with Rosetta.
There is only a small exception that allows you to avoid Rosetta and still use non-ARM plugins: If your DAW does load the AU plug-in format (e.g. Logic Pro X or Ableton Live), then you can run the DAW natively without Rosetta and still use the AU version of a non-ARM plug-in inside of it. This is because the AU format can be executed inside a so-called "sandbox" on its own, which is automatically bridged by Rosetta even when the DAW around it isn't. However, this won't work in a host-in-host situation: Your DAW absolutely needs to be launched with Rosetta if you wish to load a non-ARM plugin inside a non-ARM AU plugin (e.g. Arché in Lié MAC INTEL in Logic Pro X).

Roadmap
We are working to ensure full support for Apple Silicon across all of our current products. Still, time frames for compatibility will vary, and we cannot announce specific dates for every product.
Arché: Release of Apple Silicon support planned for June 2024. You can write us a message if you are interested in participating in testing Apple Silicon native versions of Arché.
We will keep you updated with any new developments on this topic. Please check updates to this page to obtain current information on compatibility with Apple Silicon.
