If Vital only shows the Init Preset in Ctrl-e and produces no sound when switching presets, please follow the steps below depending on your operating system.
 

macOS: install Vital version 1.6.4. -> Download Vital
 

Windows: install Vital 1.6.4 -> Download Vital, then open Vital in standalone mode, log in and download the stock content. Close Vital, then open your DAW and run a plugin scan.
Open Vital in your DAW, log in, then close it again. Open Ctrl-e, load Vital and wait a moment, then close your DAW. Reopen your DAW, load Ctrl-e and Vital should now display the presets correctly.
